Leigh Pearce Weddings, Greensboro NC Wedding Planner, Greensboro Wedding PlannersWhat advice can you offer to brides who are ready to start planning their wedding?

First, congrats!!  It's such an exciting time in your life so pinky promise me you will enjoy it.

Next, before you start buying every bridal magazine known to man and trying on pretty white dresses, you have three important decisions to make with your fiancè: what's the wedding budget, who will be invited, and when the big day will take place.  You absolutely cannot do a single thing without knowing the answer to those three questions.  You also won't be setting yourself up for financial failure or epic disappointments.

Knowing your budget means knowing how much will be spent and where it will be coming from (i.e. parents, grandparents, you and your fiancè).  Next, make a guest list and look at your budget.  Can you, truthfully, afford to feed all these people?  You may have to rethink your dream a smidge, but you'll know from the beginning and have time to work with it.  Lastly, knowing the date will help you when to start contacting vendors.  No one can help you to the best of their ability unless they know they're available for your date.

Leigh Pearce Weddings, Greensboro Wedding Planner, NC Wedding PlannerWhy do I need a wedding planner?

You don't need a wedding planner--you deserve one. You should be relaxing before your big day instead of spending all your time micromanaging vendors and stressing over centerpieces.  A wedding planner can suggest quality vendors, create a theme personalized just for you, call your guests who haven't RSVP'd, and more. The most important day in your life is about YOU and a planner ensures that.  Plus, if you do all the planning, who do you think the florist, caterer, bartender, event manager, and guests are going to come find to ask questions?  Yup, you.  Not cool when your trying to say your vows.

What's the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?

A wedding planner helps you research vendors, organize details, create a wedding design, and pull everything together the day of.  A wedding coordinator directs your ceremony and reception so you can relax.  They coordinate with your vendors, direct your ceremony, and make sure all your planning is executed flawlessly.  We offer both services here.

Do you plan events other than weddings?

Yes; but, in order to give my brides and grooms the best possible service, I only involve myself in a very limited amount of non-wedding related events each year.  I do, however, design multiple events during the year where I am not involved in the overall event planning.  I get to do what I love, designing beautiful events, while taking no time away from what's most important to me, my clients.

Can you plan a green wedding?

Of course! Being eco-friendly and buying locally are practices that are near and dear to my heart.  I believe that creating a sustainable wedding benefits the community, the environment, and, ultimately, you.  My first eco-friendly wedding took place at Proximity Hotel (recognized as the nation's "greenest" hotel) in Greensboro in October of 2010.  The wedding was absolutely breathtaking.  We were so honored to have this wedding featured on the ULTIMATE wedding style blog Style Me Pretty!

Do you have a preferred vendors list?

Yes--I have compiled a list of my favorite vendors  and happily suggest their services to my clients.  My clients are offered the list, but are in no way required to use it.  I'm always delighted to meet new vendors!

Will I lose control of my wedding if you are planning it for me?

Never!  I take pride in planning WITH my brides not for them.  I want us to talk about what music would be great during the ceremony, consult with your future husband over food choices, and ask your mom what she thinks about fabric swatches.  I work from a team perspective--everyone you want to be involved works together for a common goal.  You're still in charge and make all final decisions.

Do you book multiple weddings per day?

Heck no!  How could I properly concentrate on you if I had other events going on?  I only book one wedding per weekend so I can be readily available should you need me to help you with last minute plans.

I like what you have to say and I think we'd work well together.. so how do we get started?

Great!!! I'm so glad I can help!  First thing is to set up your complimentary 'get to know you' session here.  We'll set up a time for us to talk on the phone or meet in person for a cup of coffee.  We'll talk about what you envision for your day, any plans you have so far, and how I can help you best.  If you have any magazine clippings or sketches, bring them along.  Have some favorite pictures saved on your computer?  Email 'em over to me.  I love to see what inspires your vision and it helps me get a clear idea of what you like/dislike.

Okay, I’m ready.  But, I do have a couple more questions before getting started...can I contact you to discuss this further?

Definitely!  Send an email to info@leighpweddings.com, ask us here, or call directly at 336.552.5645.  After, we will setup a complimentary 'get to know you' session to discuss where you are in your wedding planning and see if I can help!

I look forward to helping you create an amazing wedding team, reduce your stress level, and have some fun planning your wedding!
